I was on the tomtom website and was interested in connecting to the traffic update site but it said on the site that to connect to traffic update that i have to use my pocket pc to connect through a GPRS phone and i do not know how to do this. My pocketpc is an hp iPAQ 2210 with bluetooth and my phone is a motorola v500 with bluetooth and my GPRS provider is ORANGE any ideas?

You need to have GPRS access set up on your phone first. This usually costs a fixed sum which allows you to download a given amount of data. Once you have this access on your phone, talk to the orange helpdesk and they will talk you through it.

I hope hey make a better job than the O2 helpdesk. I had to do a hard reset by the time they had finished, but I found some instructions on their website how to connect up. It wasn't to difficult if you followed the connection wizard on the 2210. You just need the IP addresses etc.

Orange will suggest you go onto the Orange Access World package or GPRS 1. Both cost £4 a month, but I think you only get 1mb on OAW compared to 3mb on GPRS 1. These are extra's in addition to your monthly contract fee.

You shouldn't need more than 1mb a month for most things. Once you have that setup you need to setup your phone. You can do this by using the settings for Orange at this site.

You'll need
- APN Address

- Password
- DNS Server (Primary DNS)
