TOMTOM Go's kernel/addditions and GPL

I have asked tomtom, according to the GPL, to release the used sourcecode for the kernel and any additions that fall under the GPL to be released.

This question was asked 14 jul 2004 and has been finally answered today, with the following information:

"we cannot answer this question as we don't know anything about this [GPL] specification"

I have been told some week ago that this request was forwarded to the manifacturer of the code for the TTGO; they do not appear to write the OS part themselves.

Discussions are welcome on this topic; I keep you posted. I will again call them tomorrow and see if I can get more answers.

So basically -- no code as of now yet, and I have re-issued the question to supply the GPL'd sources they have used, including the changes they have made. (note: anything that's not GPL, isn't discussed here, like the routing software for instance)
