What can use OZFX3 File format?

The MapMerge Utility from the Optional Extras seems to ONLY output images in OZFX3 format.

OziExplorer PC v3.95.4d "Added support for variation to the ozfx3 image format" back in October. I'm using v.3.95.4g, so I'd assume that this feature still exists. But when I try to load a MAP file that references the new file format (because it was created by MapMerge) no map image appears.

Anyone else had this problem or has anyone tried using the new file format yet?

Or, is there a way to convert from OZFX3 back to OZF2?

It's working fine for me with these versions:

OziExplorer - 3.95.4g
OziCE - 1.11.6e (development beta)
Ozi Map Merge - 1.04 beta

I got some funny errors when I first tried using it, until I adjusted the settings on the Destination Map tab which by default were set to a small scale of 250m per pixel and the wrong datum/projection for the maps I was merging. I've also seen an email on the OziUsers-L group on Yahoo that suggested you might get problems on CE if the image file name has spaces in it - can't confirm if this is true or not.

It's a proprietary format, and I don't know of conversion tools for it. It only works on the development builds of CE at the moment.
