|
|
Hi all i hope someone can help me i am trying to install POI's to my Garmin 3490 using POI Loader on Imac but i keep getting this message.
There is a data format error on line 2 of file /Volumes/HD/POI's for garmin/Speed_Camera_70-UK.gpx. The data earlier in the file will be written, but no more data can be read from this file.
If anyone could help me with this that would be great.
Thanks in advance Dell |

Then there's an error in the file that POI Loader is being pointed at. Try downloading it again. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

GPX ?
Unless you are using a converter check what file you have downloaded. _________________ Satnav:

My guess would be an incompatible GPX file then. If it doesn't follow the correct schema layout then it will be rejected. _________________ Satnav:

Problem solved
I had a suggestion on another forum to open file in a POI editer and save it as csv or gpx and i tried it with both the csv and gpx files and it worked that was a great tip, although as to why that would work i don't know but happy old man.
