|
|
I have a Garmin Nuvi 2545LMT with UK and Western Europe Maps, Lifetime Map Updates and Traffic Alerts. I accidentally deleted the POI folder recently when I was doing an updating. Could anybody help me to restore the POI folder by sending me a copy of the folder files?
Thanks a lot in advance.

You can just create the folder. What POIs are you missing? |

Sorry, I don't know what files are included in the folder. But at least, the warning alerts regarding safety cameras have gone. I have contacted Garmin, but without any solution yet. |

Well if just the safety cameras and with no luck from Garmin no one can replace the files for you. I guess you didn't back up your nuvi then?
However try logging on to the Garmin site. They offer a free trial of camera updates so that should restore the camera files for you. |

Dear sussamb,
Thank you very much for your warm hearted replies. You are right, I did not make any backups. I have already tried the free trial. And this mistake was happened just when I planned an update and tried to delete the trial file. There are some other files in the folder which could not be restored by installing a safety camera subscription. I have contacted Garmin but without any solution yet. If I could find any of my friends or colleagues who use the same type navigator, I should have solved the problem by simply copy this folder to mine.
Best regards,

That won't work as camera files like maps are locked to a device. |

Would you like to share with us just how it was resolved for the benefit of others who might find themselves in a similar situation? |
