I have a Medion PDA and have installed Mapopolis as well as the Medion navigation software. The problem is that the Medion software cannot "see" the GPS receiver once Mapopolis has been running. There is no problem with Mapopolis. If I reinstall the Medion navigation software it finds the com port again and works fine but if I then close it and start Mapopolis the Medion Navigator software will no longer detect the GPS.
Is there a solution to this problem? |

Are you exiting Mapopolis via the Tools > Exit link or just by pressing the cross in the upper right? _________________ Lutz

I think I have been using the cross exit. I will try the Tools exit and report back. |

Thanks Lutz. I have run a test with both programs and shutting Medion Navigator down via the main menu solves the problem. Both programs now happily cohabit. |

Get yourself a real task manager like Wisbar or vBar. Tapping the standard cross only puts the program in the background but doesn't close it. Microsoft must have smoked something strong when they developed that feature. _________________ Lutz
