|
|
Hi all
Sorry if this sounds a bit" thick" i am staying with friends down south at the moment have purchased a new sat nav a different make so ill will be updating both from the site.i understand thats ok as 3 sat navs same house are allowed.
My question is i want to install the database on my new sat nav before returning home,so i will be using a laptop owned by me to do that.
On returning home i would then be using my desktop as i normally do to update the cams.
Is it ok to do the update via the laptop, as i dont want it to seem i am abusing the system. |

It's perfectly OK. You do it using your pgpsw identity, not your computer identity. _________________ Dennis

Do the words BACKUP and BACKUP mean anything to you? _________________ Dennis

Yes, as in "Affirmative". I was concerned you might forget if you're on the laptop. _________________ Dennis

No, no, I can't claim that honour! It was this site which told me to do backups. My oldest backup is December 2006, a GO710, but back before then, Tom Tom devices were reliable.
I bet MikeAlder has backups a lot older than that! He's probably got a backup of the one that Noah used. _________________ Dennis

May 2006 is the earliest PND backup still on the system, prior to that I used PDA software TTN3 then TTN5.
As for the back up from the unit that Noah used, I got fed up with the map as there was nothing but a blue screen, even the built in POI files marked "Dove Landing Point" were under water so I got rid of it - Mike |
