How do you report cameras i.e. average speed cameras for road works, that have now been removed?

On the submissions page, one of the options is "Remove existing camera".

So, instead of reporting a new camera, you report one which has been removed in exactly the same way by reporting its location, ID etc.

If you need further assistance, don't hesitate to ask.

Trying to put in the request but keeps telling me that the PGPSW camera ID requires filling in. I have copied and pasted the info in but won't allow me to send it. It's a SPECS camera - would that make a difference?

Edit - done it,, just wanted the number!

Just below the drop down menu where you chose "Remove existing camera" is another drop down menu for the camera type.

However, if you click on the camera in question it gives and ID number (just above top left corner of the map) and if you enter that number into the Camera ID box and click on the "AutoFill Current Values" button, co-ordinates, type and other info are added.

Thanks, Andy, eventually worked out what was wanted. Three submissions done - depending on where you live in from Hampshire, you might have seen these anyway!!

I would hazard a guess with my powers of telepathy and say I think I know the ones, but I haven't witnessed their removal with my own eyes and I didn't want to guess before you made your submission(s).

I seem to remember seeing somewhere a while ago that you'd passed close by and these cameras should be on a motorway between F****** and P********* Wink

Well, what psychic powers you have, Mystic Meg!!! Yep, them's the ones. Went past on Tuesday and the cameras have gone and the road works go tomorrow, I believe.

Those roadworks were scheduled to last until September.

They've been a real pain, but it's amusing to see people still slowing down for the SPECS and then speeding up until the next one - despite the signs saying AVERAGE speed cameras. Laughing

Equally amusing is that there's still one of them there - on the entry slip road heading to either F********* or P*********** wherever they are. So all the goody two shoeses southern softypantses will drive gently onto the motorway and stay at 49mph for miles. Twisted Evil

If the speed limit is still 50mph through there, they should still be driving slowly Wink

Has the speed limit been reverted back to 70 along with the removal of these cameras?
