Hi crazylegs
I remember you as well crazylegs.
In all honesty I do sometimes miss my i3, I miss the female voice (sad or what) plus Mapsource was great.
I changed to the TomTom One when Argos had that really good deal, the Sirfstar III reciever was the main selling point for me brilliant, as I have one of those windscreens where I had to have an ariel for the i3.
Then of course TomTom go & bring out new sat nav systems. I decided to go for the 910 as the TTS was too tempting for me to resist as well as having the Sirfstar III reciever. All 3 are very good in there own right though. _________________ TomTom Go 910 (3) v.6.522 Map Western Europe v.650 with useless TMC receiver

I don't know if my 510 is faulty, but every mobile phone conversation I have had using the bluetooth feature has been very totally frustrating, not to say a huge disappointment.
The person I call usually ends up saying "This is a very bad I line, I can't hear you" before they eventually hang up. I've tried using the external microphone but find exactly the same problem.
I notice that a couple of users have had similar difficulties but would be interested to know if this is 'common' problem or whether indeed I have a faulty unit. _________________ Paul Driver

My experience has been the same as yours, also with the 510. Some people here do find the performance OK, but of course it isn't possible to determine how much of that is down to perception and expectation. There may also be other factors such as interference, although I don't know how vulnerable bluetooth is to this. |

My T/T 510 has gone back for the 2nd and last time. 1st time it was the on-off switch duff, the brand new replacement never got to the car as it wouldn't read the SD card
Auto Express magazine has voted a Garmin as its best doodah, it's taken me nearly two years lurking on this site before plumping for the 510.
Some things just ain't meant to be. |
