Guys,

Does any one else have any issues with TOM TOM often not kicking off the inbuilt GPS.

I have tried both the hardware port and port 4 and 57k baud rate....

Is there a little trick to it? Some times it kicks it off and other times absolutely nothing :-(

Visual GPSce kicks it off straight away every time using com 4 and 57k then if i flick back into tom tom there it is....

If it works consistantly gor you guys could you share how its set up.

Many many thanks

Stuart

Make sure VisualGPSCE is not running in the background while TomTom is trying to access it. Try "other cable" or "other BT" and use the hardware port. Try at 38400 too.

Don't use COM4, use the port labelled GPS_HWCOM, it works fine with this. I had the same problem with COM4 not waking up the hardware.
