anyone know if its possible to setup any version of navigator so that it announces the house number you're closest to? i've heard a second-hand story that someone could do this on their tomtom setup so that it would say the street number automatically once you're stationary or going extremely slowly...
sounds a bit strange to me since whenever you stop at traffic lights, it will try to tell you the closest street number - but anyway, couldnt find anything on my ttn3 setup so maybe its a ttn5 feature?

It's not a standard TTN5 feature. You can however tap the current road in map mode and it will tell you the house number range of that piece of road.
To get the nearest house number displayed you need the SDK, but even that one cannot speak it out.

Sounds like an urbam myth. As far as I know TT does not activate anything dependent upon speed - other than switching the screen off if you get above a certain speed. Otheriwse it could drive you mad when using it to navigate on foot in cities. |
