I was happy with my 1490T before I passed it on to a friend, who is also happy with it. There is no video input on the standard model - you have to spend £100 more on the TV version for that. |

Did you use Garmin POI Loader? It won't work if you just copy raw files across; POI loader compiles all the data into a single file called poi.gpi which it should then install in the correct directory ... |

You can get info on the satellite fix - eventually. It's very choosy about whether it responds to a finger press on the satellite strength bars at the top left. |

Sorry, yes, Cyclops = Garmin cameras. Back up those files somewhere, remove them from the unit and run POI Loader with the 'remove all current POI' option. Sorry I can't be more specific but I'm away ... |

Should have said, I turned nuRoute off because it was unusable. Sounds as though you're better off sticking to the 1690. |
