Probably better to use WebUpdater as it'll also check for updates to Bluetooth and Traffic software -

So, I have the serial number, which has been accepted, and the system identifies it as a Nuvi 7 series, so I get:

I mean't: It of course does NOT boot far enough for the computer to see the Nuvi as a drive and so therefore unable to reflash the firmware or remove anything.
