My dad has used a Transcend 1GB card with no problems on his TomTom Go.
I'm using a PQI 1GB SD card on my TTG without a problem. Still sort of bummed I can't get the entire US mapset on it though ... |

You know a street name but the TTG doesnt find that street.
In my area, some streets are officially known with a prefix such as "N Wilson Blvd." instead of "Wilson Blvd ... |

Nope, TTG is not capable of reading WAV files. They are either *.vif (voice information file) and/or .chk.
Took a look at the dataxx.chk files. They don't seem to have a known header (using the ` ... |
