If i also remember the n35 was a slow old dog and the 636 is virtually the same but possibly faster and although never had my hands on a n35 would imagine better built.

Another thought - does anyone have an opinion on the Asus 636? I guess it's the little brother of the 696? But seems to do the same job - and probably a lot better than the old N35.

I tried my Tomtom car cradle with the wired receiver pluged into 6volts and it would not light up the mouse led.
