Hi Guys
Received this e mail form Tom Tom this afternoon hopefully it will help to resolve the RDS issue unless any of you have already had these instructions.
Paul

We are aware of the current problems associated with the latest application download and are trying to resolve the issues.
In the mean time here are some steps to perform to try and resolve the issue with RDS TMC reciever.

1- Close TomTom HOME (make sure to exit through the system tray in the bottom right hand corner next to the clock)

2 - Delete the files in the download folder

3 - Delete the loose files and the yellow folder "GNS" from the root directory of the device (go to My Computer, select your TomTom, and this is the root directory)

4 - Start TomTom HOME and update to the latest application

5 - Perform a disk error check with both options ticked

For the volume issue you can;

1.- Check the volume preferences and make sure that "link volume to noise level" is not ticked and that volume is set to 100%.
OR,
2. - Use the line out or FM transmitter instead of the internal speaker.

The rds would not find a signal on v 8350 and caused my pnd to flicker when it was looking for a signal. volume issue also caused by the update. have since rolled back to v8302 and all works fine now. I will wait for the next update before I try again.

I upgraded to v8.350 and then found that RDS Traffic would not work. I tried reverting to V8.3.0.2 on SD card but RDS still does not work.
This is on a 930 with the plug-in RDS. Have contacted TT and am currently being advised to return unit, RDs etc. I am reluctant to do that.

Did you carry out the process of deleting files or were you able to just roll-back?
