I'm running TTN5 on a PDA.

On a previous version I could drag out an area on the map to ensure that it was excluded from any route planning.

As I'm to travel down the M1 to east of London later this week I wanted to exclude junctions 10 to 6 due to the roadworks there but I'm unable to find the previous method of excluding this part of the route. I have found that I can plan a route and then exclude parts of that, but that's too crude: I can't define the particular junctions.

Anyone able to help?

TIA

Depending on how complex the route is, you could try a Travel Via, and go via the road you wish, but this doesnt always work as it might reroute you back onto the M1.

I think now your best bet is to create an itineray planning route, where you can pretty much specify what the roads are you drive down.

Mind you, cant say I had much probs with the roadworks the other week!

I had thought of choosing the roads to use but that pretty much negates the point of using the sat nav. I don't know the alternatives at all so I may well choose a route that is horrendous!

I'm interested to know that you didn't have problems with the roadworks. Perhaps they're not so bad now. I've had four or five bad journeys through them despite saying I wouldn't risk them again. This time I've decided that I really won't. But now you say they're not so bad...

It was a few weeks ago now I had the pleasure of this section, so things might have changed somewhat?, I know it was 50mph all the way to J10. ( well when the traffic got out the way )

Between J6a - J10...
Going North, it took 18m29s start section at 07.14
Going South, it took 11m53s start section at 20.58

Regards
