|
|
Hi,
Can anybody please help?
During update my laptop ran out of battery, afterwards i was not able to start miomap (got an error). Neither it was possible to restart the update..
Is it possible to install a complete new miomap, or to restore it completely?
Also is it possible to get the USB drivers somewhere?
Regards

MioMap and the USB drivers are on the DVDs that you should have got with the 710. |

Mine came with a red and blue DVD. Miomap 3.2 is on the red DVD. If you insert this into your DVD palyer you should get a menu to reload miomap and the maps. The blue DVD has Mio transfer on it.
Remember to switch off the mio for a few seconds first, using the switch on the bottom to reset it. |

Whoops, you're last question sounds as if you may have run in to a problem. Why do you need the USB driver? Is something (on the PC) telling you that you need to?
An acquaintance of mine ran in to a problem: had a perfectly good C510 and then updated to Vista. Found that Vista couldn't support the update process so updated on a PC running XP. The update failed but he only found out a few hours later when he needed to use the device. Couldn't access a XP machine for a few days and his Vista PC wouldn't work.
I helped him out but really the question needs to be asked why was Mitac peddling very poor software for XP (bugs never fixed)? I'm not even going to ask (again) why Mitac didn't bother to release update software for Vista?
Does XP have the status of legacy OS yet?
Anyway, if you have problems drop me a message and I'll try to help out. |
