Question My 730t has recently took to freezing up when navigating, when do you need to arrive at a specific time is asked and i click no the unit freezes so i had a search on here and found one or two people had done a checkdisk via windows and solved the problem, so i did a check disk and opted for repairs and windows said it had repaired something and saved to i believe a found folder but as i had my head elsewhere yesterday i cannot remember where it was saved just interested to see what may have been causing the problem. does anyone have any idea where this folder is ie on my pc or on tomtom unit. not had a chance to use the device yet so anyone else have any suggestions as to what may have caused unit to freeze? thanks in advance. Wink

The folder would be on the TomTom and would be called something like

Quote:
found.000

It might be a hidden folder.

And don't expect there to be any results that you can easily interpret! This will not repair a damaged file. You should ideally format the unit and restore from a backup.

Here are TomTom's own formatting instructions:
http://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?Language=1&query=format&FID=1898
(See the link at the bottom)

Contrary to what some people have suggested on the forums, TomTom recommend formatting to FAT32 standard.
