Dear friends from everywhere could somebody help me. I have Medion md95900 or mdpna200s gps pda receiver. By mistake i did format its firmware so now it could not start. When i put it in bootloader mode i could flash it again from sd card but i need the right dump.bin for it. Does somebody know wher i could find or download it.

Do you mean you need the installation files, autorunce and mnavdce? To make the thing work, all you need to do is load the map you have, plus the above 2 files, which can be found on your original CD-ROM.

I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to technical jargon, so I'll have to leave this thread, as I don't know what 'firmware' and 'flash' refers to! Embarassed

However, if you just need a disc with the original maps/software/etc, let me know.

Is/was yours operating the 4.75 version or the 5.1? Which country map do you need? The standard installation CD-ROM I have has the UK/Ireland map, but I do have other country maps too, in both 4.75 and 5.1 (both are compatible with your MD95900).

I've opened up the files on the disc as far as I can, but I suspect that the file you want is in the Mnavdce, which requires the purchase of Winzip to open up. I am not going to buy Winzip, so the best I can do is send you a copy of the disc. You pay the cost of the disc plus the postage.

I did the same thing

see my post: http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=53787

I have the original discs, which contain WinCE...problem is that the image file to reload it on the firmware is not there. Two files are needed, winceimg.bin and winceimg.cks which both need to be for this device (or perhaps very similar like the navigon 7000t clone of this).

If anyone can supply a rom dump (don't ask me how) this can be reloaded onto an SD card and restored.

Barring that, I'm scheduled to ship this back on Wednesday, 60 euro minimum charge. Sad Medion has the proper image, but won't share!
