Hi tenjah,

Welcome to the forum! Thumbs Up

There are some guides that should be read (in the following order):

Arrow The beginner’s guide to the PocketGPSWorld camera database.
This explains about the different camera types and about categories and subcategories, so that you can decide how you want the database on your unit.

Depending on whether you have TomTom Navigator on a Pocket PC or TomTom GO, please read either:

Arrow How to install (camera database) POIs to TomTom Navigator 5.
This guide explains how to load the PocketGPSWorld camera database onto a Pocket PC running TomTom Navigator 5.

Arrow How to install (camera database) POIs onto a TomTom GO.
This guide explains how to load the PocketGPSWorld camera database onto your TomTom GO.

The above guides may look lengthy and complicated when first seen. However if you grab a cup of coffee and read each one thoroughly then they should make sense as they have been written in a step-by-step way, for ease of reading.

Regards,

Don't overlook the fact that ours is a database of locations. It does not have any 'active' detection ability. So if we know where they hang out we can alert you although being Mobile sites, they may or may not be there!

Hi guys,

You've both answered some q's I had.

I've had a good read and that info has made the waters a whole lot clearer.

I'm going to be getting a tomtom One. I assume the firmware is the same as a Go. Does anyone have any more info on this. Are there any plans for One specific installations in the future?

Thanks,
Ten

I’ve not handled a TomTom One yet, although I hope somebody will bring along a TomTom One to the PocketGPSWorld Basingstoke GPS Event at the Apollo hotel on Saturday 26th November 2005.

If you have a TomTom One, the instructions for loading the PocketGPSWorld camera database onto a TomTom GO, will work for you.

Regards,
