I wonder if you could help. I had a safety camera warning on my tom tom camera warnings, which gave a verbal message saying "warning , danger zone ahead." My pc has just been replaced and I cannot find this programme. I wonder if you could help?

I am using the camera database on TTN 5 on an IPAQ 3900 series.

I understood that POIWarner had the voice files built in.

If you want the voices for this sites cameras and TT5 you mean the data.chk file. This can be downloaded from http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtom-poi-alerts.php

The data.chk for yours is I believe the 4890.

The actual instruction you give, I believe, came from/with POIWarner, but it might have come from a custom voice set that someone else may have created.

Hi,

Put the file under the tom tom directory which is where the original was , I renamed the original and changed the name of the new one to what it suggested

Which Directory? On the SD card or in memory.

Have you any other data.chk files, either in memory or on SD card?

What did you rename the original to?

Data05.chk file is Janes directions voice.

There are 2 types of voice files. The POI warning file is called data.chk and the voice direction files are called dataxx.chk. A different number is a different language file.

If you do a Explorer Search, on the PDA, for *.chk, it should turn up all the data.chk files you have. You will need to search My Device, not the SD card.

Also you will have to rename auddata05.chk back to data05.chk to get Jane's directions.
