Tom Tom Navigator 3 - no sound

I have been using TT3 for a few weeks no problem, then all of a sudden no sound. Speaker on IPAQ is OK as Media player etc works. Tried reinstalling but still the same. Any ideas?

If you hold your stylus on the Navigator view there is an Icon something like "Turn sound on/off" It has caused some confusion in the past, try checking/unchecking that Icon.

I have tried that. Even in Navigator 'settings' where you can press the test sound button nothing happens. Have tried every conceivable thing I can think of. Actually worked last night without doing anything, then next time switched it on - nothing !!! & still nothing!! Sad

I have upgraded my ROM for my IPAQ to latest level which meant reinstalling everything again even TT3.
Guess what? still no sound when using the 'test' button in properties.

Have tried with tt3 version 3.01 and 3.07 but still the same.

In file explorer selecting the wav sounds from within either Checkpoint folder or Navigator folder and press play does nothing.

Media player works fine.

Anybody help me please !!!!

IPAQ Rx3715, PPC2003, Kingston 512mb SD card, Leadtek 9537 BT.

I take it that you have checked the actual PDA settings
Start>settings>sounds and notifications
Set volume to max and check the first 2 boxes

:D You don't know how embarassed I feel.
I unchecked the boxes 'cos I got fed up of the 'clicking' sound everytime I touched the screen!
