Hello all Smile

I have one of the Medion SatNav packages, (this one! http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/medion-review.php ) but am using Tom Tom Naviator 3 on it.

However, the voice prompts don't work. Nor do any sounds i copy over for POI warning. And when i browse to these files on the pda, it wont play them there either. The little play box comes up, i hit play and it flicks over to stop very quickly and makes no noise

Sound on the pda works, because the voice prompts in the medion software worked - and i can watch videos and playback mp3s on the pda.

Just doesnt seem to like wavs. The wavs work fine in the mp3 playing software thats bundleded on there.

If it were a pc, i'd be looking at reisntalling soundcard drivers - but im new to the PDA world and not sure how to go about troubleshooting this.

Any ideas?

Cheers
Mark

Maybe you have used a weird sampling rate or bitrate. The WAV files should be no more than 22 KHz sampling rate and no more than 256KBps bitrae (the standard sounds are much lower, around 40 KBps)

Another possibility is that you have put the system sound volume down. Your MP3 player may not honour the system settings.

Hello Mark

Not sure which system you have, as when I click the link I get page not found, anyway, if you can go to Start - Settings - then the Sounds & Notifications icon, then on that page make sure that -

Enable sounds for

Events
Programs
Notifications (alarm, reminders) are all ticked, hope that's the problem.
