Hi, I am currently using a Syson Plus CF-gps in combination with a Pocket PC and topographic maps.
I would like to buy a BT-gps that I can put in my backpack without turning it on and off all day. The PPC will only be turned on if I want to know where I am. Saving battery-power is of great importance when hiking so I would like the gps to save power if there is no BT-connection.

I know I can save some power by setting the trickle-mode but what is more important to me is that the gps must sense when there is no connection and turn itself in a standby-mode. It would be silly if the gps-battery is empty after 8 hours when I only needed it for 1 hour during the whole day!

Does the Crux II or Trine turn itself in a power-saving (or sleep) mode if the BT-connection is stopped by turning the PPC off?

Is there any other BT-gps that has this feature?

I think the only receivers that do this are the Navman 4410 etc.

So the Emtac's don't have this function?
Are you sure the Navman can do this? They don't mention it on their website or manual.
The Rikaline 6031 X7 had this function but due to the XTrack-lag problems it is pulled from the market.
