I've got Sygic and it has spoken street names. The main problem is with pronounciation, it's not very good and they do not allow use of other third party TTS engines such as SVOX which has far superior pronounciatein when used with Google nav. Both iGO and Sygic have on-board maps so do not incur data charges/allowance usage, and also will work in the absence of a G3 signal. I have no experience of iGO on Android, but do on PND. I don't think that iGO have live traffic, which Sygic does, (fot about 10Euros/year)but although they claim it's TT data, although it generally shows up the same delays as TT Live Traffic, it always seems to give no delay and therefore does not re-route. Apparently, it will give delays, but only if you route through them. There also seems to be a Traffic 'horizon' as with TT PND Nav, but I havn't yet worked out what the distance is. |
