I have a Kenwood DNX9180DABS in-car system. I notice that this model is not mentioned on your database downloads - is there a compatible download?
Many thanks |

Thanks for this. As there seems to be no mention anywhere of the DNX9180DABS anywhere, am I correct in thinking that all DNX units are compatible then?
Incidentally, these installation instructions are slightly different to the Kenwood manual ?? |

As far as I'm aware, yes. All Garmin's use the same method of using the database. The only difference may be whether you use a USB stick or memory card.
Out of interest, what does the Kenwood manual say and how do they differ? It may just be a software update over the years that means we need to update the Kenwood instructions a little. |

OK, many thanks for that.
Regarding the differences in installation, I have found two different methods, both on Kenwood/Garmin website/literature.
Although this unit has an SD card, one said that the POILoader should go on a USB drive (and the database on the SD card) and one said to put both on the SD card !!!! |

POILoader is software that needs installing to your PC (Windows and Mac both available).
You then run that software and select a destination for the data to be sent to - either SD Card or USB drive. |
