Hi all,
I've searched the docs for this information but I can't find anything.
I live in Germany, fairly close to the French border and was trying to use D3 to plan a trip over 2 countries. Apart from trying to use the route planner and selecting "way points" which would have to be border crossings is there an easy way to plan a trip over 2 or more maps? I have the maps of Europe edition.
Cheers |

As far as we know trips can only be planned within the same map area. If you can't cut a map that contains both areas then it won't work. (we have the same problem over here with trips between the US and Canada) _________________ Lutz

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I guess I'll have to know enough to get to the border and then plan a trip from there.
Oh well at least Austria and Switzerland are on the same map. |

I'm not sure but I seem to think that you can cut and select a map in D3 and that the selections can be cross border, the 'standard' france, also gives into belgium for example, you need to go back to Destinator Console on PC and see what it says |

This is the reply I received from Powerloc.
You will need to load the Route USA/Canada map /or MRE-Major Roads of Europe map for EU version/ which contains detailed Interstate and Highway information to travel across different map zones. Just load this map and the map of your destination into your PDA. When transferring map info from the desktop to PDA you can use the SEARCH function to locate towns and make sure you have the right information and right map. Start your trip with Route map and set the city of your Destination. Once you physically enter destination map zone you will be able to switch to specific map of the area and have complete detailed street level information. |
