Hi all.
While trying to set up my TTN3 and trying to create a bluetooth bond between PDA and GPS reciever I got this message.....
"The Bluetooth Radio failed to turn on due to insufficient driver memory available. You must perform a normal reset before you can turn on the Bluetooth Radio."
I do what it asks me to do, but when I run the TT wizard I get the same message again.
I am using a Ipaq 1940 with TTN2 together with TTN3 update.
Thanks in advance. |

I've had that once or twice before. Just do as it says and do a soft-reset (i.e. press the reset button on the back - not the power button) and when it restarts it should be fine. |

Hiya Nej. Thnx for reply.
I tried the soft reset twice but still no good. I may have to uninstall and re-install.

I had this problem on my 2210. I had upgraded the ROM and reinstalled from backup. In the end I had to hard reset and reinstall everything. No number of soft resets would get the bluetooth kick started. |

Hmmmm....
Hiya Gohkart.
I was trying to avoid that.... But if it has to be done then so be it.
I have a Q? about Tom Tom. What versions go with what? I see Gps ver 2.07 2.08 2.09 and so on. Also Tom Tom 2.24, Is this the latest??
I have TTN2 with TTN3 upgrade.

not sure about your IPAQ. I have a 2210:
GPS version reads: 3.03 415/408
I am running Tomtom 3.04T (432) which is the traffic version. I have GPRS via a Nokia 6230 on O2.
I think the best thing to do is go to the Tomtom site and check the recent upgrades Vs versions of IPAQ, but I guess if you are using PPC2003 then the above versions should be fine for you. |

sorry, didn't read your post properly. Not the best person to answer your question, but my guess is all the stuff beginning 2.xx is for version 2. everything beginning 3.xx is for version 3.
TT2 to 3 upgrade means you go with version 3.xx stuff.
your more of a tomtom pro than I am. I've only had the thing for a couple of weeks, but it gets me around London fine. managed to get beyond Oxford the other week. This week will test drive London to edinburgh, around Edinburgh and then back to London. Can't wait to experience the M6 toll glitch I've read so much about.

Hmmm....
Still no joy after a hard reset.
Still getting this message.....
"The Bluetooth Radio failed to turn on due to insufficient driver memory available. You must perform a normal reset before you can turn on the Bluetooth Radio."
Any ideas anyone???

A shot in the dark - but how much memory do you have free on your IPAQ? If you have basically nothing free then it's possible it will give that message I suppose. Try removing a couple of programs and see what happens maybe? |

Ello Nej....
I have a Panasonic SD 256 card + 13 meg of system memory. The TT UK map takes 100.50 meg and I have nothing else on the card. I'm using 3.00 meg of system memory for ipaq back ups etc.
I installed TTN2 in the normal way and then added the TTN3 upgrade. I've added nothing else. Do I need to add one of those GPS up-dates?...2.07, 2.08/3.01,3.03. ??
Is there a "Package" someone can advise to d/load for my Ipaq 1940 as far as up-dates and stuff are concerned??
Apreciate any advice.
Thanks.

What ROM version do you have? When you soft reset it will show the version number at bottom right. There may be a later update available, alternatively just re-apply the latest ROM Update. _________________ Darren Griffin |

You did pay for the update you talk about didn't you, you are not trying to load the TT3.03 update onto TT2?
If you have the TT3 disk from TomTom, then you do not have to load TT2.
Also this disk will load I think it was v3.01 GPS software.

Hey Steve...
...thnx mate. Yes I paid my Euro's. And I have TTN3 only on this PPC. Here's my next problem....
All software loaded ok and I can run TT no probs but I cant get a "Bluetooth Bond" with the reciever. I've tried the 3.03 GPS update still no joy. Should I try a 2.0X version??
I'm a patient man. 8)

The Bluetooth Bond is an OS Process and so TTNav should have no effect on this. _________________ Darren Griffin |
