I have just been given a new TomTom Go Live - I previously owned a ToTom Home (original - with SD Card slot). I could always download and copy and paste POI or speed cameras into it with trouble.
How do I install downloaded POI from this site into my Sat Nav. There are so many I want and need like National Trust, Castles, zoos etc.
To have to enter each one individually will take me forever.
Is there an easy way of doing this. I have tried opening devices to see if I can copy and paste (like the old way), but I can't seem to 'open' the device to paste too.
PLEASE can someone help - Many thanks |

The easiest way, that springs to mind, is to 'ZIP' all the OV2 and BMP Files into 1 ZIP File.
If they are the only files in the ZIPped then you can use the Add Community Content section of MyDrive to add all the contents of the ZIP File. _________________ Richard

Hi Paula.
When you say "a new TomTom Go Live" that covers an awful lot of models, new and old. And the ways of getting your old POIs etc. onto them differ quite a lot by model.
Even worse.. the VERY latest models cannot handle POIs at all yet, just a single mish-mash of "Myplaces" (a bit like the old "Favourites")
Can you tell us what model number it is?
Unfortunately, the actual model number is never written on any of the labels on the case.
However, if you cannot find it anywhere else, you can enter the first two letters of the SERIAL number (the one that is usually under the barcode stripes) into TomTom's model checker web-page here.
Let us know the results and we can advise on the best way to transfer your old POIs etc. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |
