I have a new HP 5550 and as everyone knows the speaker is pathetic compared to my old 3950, I was wondering if it was possible to use a mobile phone bluetooth headset to receive the voice instructions from my Ipaq, this would mean that I can keep my exisiting brodit mount which cannot be used with any external speaker as the headphone jack is now at the bottom of the device. Thanks HP

Yes it does work although establishing the connection from the bluetooth headset is not 100%. Establishing the connection from the 5550 works fine. You can also use the bluetooth GPS and GPRS to phone. |

If you are listening to Tomtom's instructions via a bluetooth headset can the PDA have a simultaneous BT connection to a BT GPS receiver? or can it only "communicate" with one device at a time?
thanks

You can't have two simultaneous connections that use the same BT profile but you can have two connections that use different profiles.
The BT headset uses the BT Audio or BT Headset Profile whereas the GPS uses the BT Serial Port (BT SPP) profile so in this case it will work fine. _________________ Darren Griffin |
