Could someone with the iPhone TomTom app with HD traffic enabled please do a quick test and let me know if it is range limited like the PNDs? For example, if you are in London, what is the furthest that you can see traffic? Can you see the whole country traffic, or is it restricted to a square around your location? A screenshot of the traffic map would be great.
Only if it has whole country, I might just buy it. Thanks! |

It's limited to about 40-50 miles or so. Not really sure why i'd need to know about anything outside that range and works fine for me.... |

So bang goes another option. Paul, consider how you'd react if you went to any of the following :- Glasgow, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Birmingham and you didn't know the major route chosen by your TomTom was on a four hour closure for accident investigation works, 100 miles along.
That is NOT intended to reopen the debate about range again here - we've already flogged it to death elsewhere.
I'm not sure if Paul's answer is quite definitive enough, though - didn't say how far he can see incidents. _________________ Dennis

Thanks - that does sound larger than the PND box. Maybe I'll have to give it a go. |

I believe you can still buy it at a month at a time. I think i did to try it and now buy it a year at a time. I'm sure it's paid for itself in annual fuel savings whatever it's failings are... |
