I probably only do a couple of long journeys a year where CamerAlert would be used so it would be nice to have the option to buy one off new databases for the app for say a couple of quid at a time for when I actually needed it rather than spend £20 on a years sub which would rarely be used |

No plans. We used to offer a £2/mth subscription a few years back.
But it was so widely abused, shared on web-sites etc that we were forced to withdraw it. The possible loss of £2 if caught was seen as a risk worth taking for many.
It's a shame that a few have to spoil it for the majority but that's life. On the other had, if you subscribe and report cameras, you could secure a Lifetime sub which would make the £19.99 outlay a good investment? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Could it still be abused if offered only as an in app purchase? and not otherwise downloadable for standalone sat navs? |

In-app purchase is one option, albeit, only for iOS users which isn't ideal.
We're moving to that system for iOS as Apple dictate we have to. Once we have it in place it may be an option we can consider. But first we need to get this new version of the app approved. And that's proving more problematic than we'd like it to be _________________ Darren Griffin |
