|
|
I'm new to owning a Navigon - about 5 weeks now - and i've just read about the map updates being every quarter but what about other software updates?
I've paid a subcription for the speed camera updates, and so far i've had nothing from Navigon for this, but i should have 12 monthly updates. Has anyone got any info they could share with me _________________ Keith

Not sure if this will be much help to you.
I have Navigon software GPS on my phone, there was a software update around last November if i remember right. No idea if it was a map update or a system update. It was a fair old size though.
I don't use navigon cameras, I use PGPSW, much better, get an update every week, and on the phone I can update every day if I want.

Hi Bob
I too pay for the PGPSW updates, (used to have a TT) but Navigon systems do not allow 3rd party add ons _________________ Keith

Hi Keith, I've owned a Navigon/Medion clone PNA since 2005 and in my experience software updates are few and far between. I also have an android version and here they are more frequent.
Navigon speed cameras are updated once a month (usually about the middle) and you have to use Fresh to download them - you should see your sub. in the Maps&Services area. I had a free 12 month subscription with a 4310 but when this expired I re-joined PGPS. I use POI-Warner on my 4350 as user POIs are not an option.
I believe user POIs aren't available on the 72 range (although promised as a future - software - update) and neither is POI-Warner yet (for the MN 8 software) so for the moment you only have Navigon cameras available to you.
Hope this helps _________________ Tim
