|
|
As the with BMW driver, I am having similar issues with a new Jaguar XF. I can't get the alerts to come through a bluetooth connection from an iPhone 4. I have tried both settings on the sound bar (mobile phone icon and music note icon).
Am I missing something?
The sound works OK when the iPhone is docked. |

Is it bluetooth handsfree or bluetooth audio?
Are you able to play any music etc from your iphone through the bluetooth in your car?

Our application uses A2DP for the audio (like most other apps) and if your car BT system does not support that then, well, that's about it. Sorry. _________________ Lutz

Thanks for the info.
However the Bluetooth works OK for the phone, that's what I can't understand. If the phone Bluetooth works ok, does that mean the Cameralert app should? |

No, the phone uses mono headset/hands free Bluetooth profiles. We use stereo a2dp Bluetooth for our sounds. _________________ Lutz

According to the Jaguar XF handbook the Jaguar Bluetooth system supports both HFP and A2DP. |

Does the Jag system support simultanious use of HFP and A2DP, if its one or the other and the phone grabs the HFP first .......

"HFP and A2DP/AVRCP profiles can be connected independently, so a phone can be connected via one, while a media device can be connected via the other, at the same time".
This is the from the latest (facelift) XF model's owner's handbook. |
