Mine says Warning, Cannot connect to TT Live services PLease try again later. Error code 148 (which means absolutely nothing to me).
I suppose it's gone out on the school run! _________________ Dennis

Got the same this morning on my Live 1000 and like you tried the reset to no avail, relieved as this would suggest it's not a local problem but rather at the TT end. |

Could be. I've had a phone call and sent a text successfully, so we'll see now I'm off out on the road. _________________ Dennis

It is due to the break-in at a Vodafone Network hub in Basingstoke this morning.
Wide-spread disruption to Vodafone services across the SE. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Not yet, they haven't....

I'm amazed that such a large area of the country can be brought down by a problem in one building.
I would have thought a resilient system would have the facility to quickly switch to a backup running at another location.
I don't know if other mobile 'phone companies have that facility or are just as vulnerable as Vodaphone seems to be.
I'm with Orange and they have done a reciprocal deal with T-Mobile so my phone automatically switches to use their network if there is no Orange signal available. Would that have helped in this case?
If it would... Why aren't ALL phone companies encouraged or even regulated to enter into reciprocal deals to use each others networks in situations like this? |

Yes I mis-read the story and thought the network was back up. |

This is because Orange and T-Mobile are now the same company, even though they continue to use both brands.
There is no technical reason why roaming between any mobile networks could not take place in the in the UK, most overseas visitors here have that facility, as long as their providers have the roaming agreements in place. _________________ Drivelux |
