|
|
Hi,
Can anyone recommend a suitable power cable (a url would be great) that can keep the iphone 3g charged whilst running cameralert.
I have currently tried two 1000mah chargers and a USB to cigarette light adapter and although they all charge the iphone fine when the screen is off they dont supply enough power to stop the battery very slowly draining when in use with cameralert. |

I have found the exact same issue with my car charger and the Tomtom application.
With 3G, Bluetooth and Location services all switched on the device actually slowly discharges when running the Tomtom application. I have not observed the same issue with the PGPSW iPhone application, but I can believe the same may occur.

The power lead from an old TomTom One XL (the original XL) was rated at 2 amps and works fine when powering the iPhone sat in the TomTom car kit cradle - Never had an issue with power drain even when used on very long trips - Mike |

I'm using a Griffin Powerjolt which works fine for me.
I note Brodit actually use it in their iPhone powered adjustable cradle model. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Whats the minimum rating for a charger to run the cameralert app on a 3gs? The charger ive got wont keep up with the drain so im assuming its a 500ma (cant check at the moment).
Id like one thats quite compact and maplins do a compact 1a usb charger http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=274029 would that be enough? I noticed the powerjolt was mantioned any idea what thats rated too?
