Hi Forum,
We've updated our list of FAQs to address some of the more common support requests we have been getting.
Please check out the "Support" section of our new FAQs page if you are experiencing any of the following:

2. You could not complete application download
3. You get an Internal Error
4. You can’t type into the Activation Code or Search field
5. Your new activation code is not valid
6. You can’t reuse your old activation code
7. You can’t change the language of Telmap5
8. You can’t search in your country or state
9. You can’t change the speed units to MPH
10. You want to view ETA, distance to destination or other route details
11. You can’t hear the navigation sound instructions
Thanks

This was one of mine that caused much grief. One update from me that might be worth adding to the FAQ. I think that part of the problem for me was that Orange in the UK do not enable the Blackberry Internet Browser Service (BIBS) by default. This appears to normally be enabled for most suppliers. I got them to switch it on for me two weeks ago and now a lot of other 'oddities' with network access have gone away. It took a long time to find any info on what was happening so this might be useful to others. |

Hi Syborg,
Thanks for this feedback.
This is the sort of thing that's really difficult for us to hit on since our many users work with different operators.
Checking BIBS is one of the steps in resolving the Internal Error so I'm glad to hear that switching it on indeed worked for you.
We'll keep this in mind.
thanks

The real issue is the terminology. Not only is there BIS and BES but also BIBS. As you say there is reference to it in the FAQ but it says Quote: | Make sure you have at least one of the below service books:
- Desktop [IPPP]
- IPPP for BIBS [IPPP] | and I always had the Desktop one. |
