I have posted a problem 3 times now. I preview and see my post. I come back to see if there are any replies and the post is gone? What is happening ? |

Hi,
Go back to the forum index page and you will find an option on the right hand side that says 'Read your posts' (or similar), just below 'Read posts since last visit'
That way you can keep track and not duplicate your post.
You will get an email if someone replies.
Hope that helps. _________________ Mike

Sorry couldn't edit:
Where I said 'read' your posts above, I should have said 'view' _________________ Mike

you need to 'Submit' the post, not just 'Preview' it - preview is exactly that, you preview it to make sure any formating (bold, underline, colours etc) look correct, to actually submit the post to the forum you need to press submit.

I think shrimpfarmer has been submitting them as i've just moved 2 duplicate threads under his member name out of view as they were duplicates of the 3rd thread which has now had an answer.
Also the 2 moved out of view where in the Apple iPod forum and not the CamerAlert Support Forum where the 3rd one is.
shrimpfarmer - If you can't see a thread in the forum after you've posted it hit F5 to refresh the page. It should appear then. |

Apologies everyone. I don't know why I kept getting it wrong but I seem to have mastered it now. Sorry to have caused so much work for people |

Don't worry about it. It's not a problem. |

In your Profile do you have "Yes" selected under "Always notify me of replies"? If so you'll get an e-mail when someone replies to a topic you've posted in, which would save you keep coming back to check. The email includes a link to take you straight to the topic.
Similarly, if you want to follow a topic that you haven't participated in you can click "Watch this topic for replies" at the bottom of the page to receive email notification when there's a new post. _________________ Anita
