Hi Forum,
We're back after a very busy but successful Mobile World Congress.
Thank you for your patience in waiting for our responses. We have received lots of feedback - and also lots of questions.
We will spend the next few days catching up and will try to answer everone's questions, and address all the issues.
In the mean time - we have a new version available. It only adds one or two new features - but there are internal bug fixes so I do recommend downloading it
You can download this new version from the usual place.
Just to be clear - you should be downloading V5.11.28. You can check your version from the Main Screen "About" menu option.
You should use the same Telmap5 activation code you have already received. Contact us at TUGAdmin_at_telmap_dot_com if you need us to dig it up.
Thanks

Just downloaded and installed on my BB9700
This version seemed to load ok after the second time.
First install gave me the following error
Uncaught exception. Java.lang.NullPointerException.
I uninstalled, did a battery pull then reinstalled and the app ran ok.
it took longer to obtain a GPS fix than Blackberry Maps and Google Maps. they took about 2 mins whereas Telmap 5 took about 5-6 minutes.
Will try it out later today on the drive home. |

Used the new version on the way home.
Purposely ignored the route Telmap calculated and it recalculated a new route within 60 seconds. Faster than my old Navman ICN.
Is there a way to increase the volume or have the audio use Bluetooth through the car stereo? i have a parrot bluetooth in car system. Also is there a way to zoom out while in 3d navigation mode?
Other than the above no complaints so far.
will use extensively over the next week and report any findings.

THanks for your feedback.
THe NullPointException is a known issue for the first usage. As you saw - it goes away by itself. (Would be nice if other "exceptions" in life just went away too :-) )
We also know about the low volume - but unfortunately there is no way to increase that right now. Just make sure you have your device set on the max volume available.
I have gotten it to work with a Bury BT car kit. Basically if your device is paired with your car kit the instructions should come out through the car kit speakers. We haven't specifically tested it though with a Parrot.
thanks
