Hi all
General question about recharging the battery pack.
When I plug in the charger in the unit switchs on........should I leave it on or turn it off................if left on isn't that counter productive ?
Many thanks for your time and advice.
Regards

It is always powered on while charging the battery pack, just leave it over night and it will be ready to go in the morning - Remember to switch it off though post charge while you drive to where the walk starts to avoid unnecessary battery usage - Mike |

Noticed you can turn the screen off with the on/off button. Is this powering down and recommended whilst charging ?
Thanks

When you select off you have to confirm the off selection with one of the soft buttons - just pressing the power button on its own isn't enough to shut it down - Mike |

So the screen simply goes off and it continues to charge ?
Thanks

As mikealder says, just plug it in and leave overnight. If its switched off, it will turn itself back on and then go to sleep whilst charging. If its on, it will do the same thing. I have to say that the instructions that came with the power pack are absolutely useless, hence questions like this on the forum, and no doubt queries to Satmap themselves. They could save everyone a lot of bother if they updated the manuals. |
