I am a new subscriber and a bit confused. I downloaded the Camera Manager but was not able to find any kind of help information on how to use it. Since installing it and seting the directory the icon has started flashing. Does this mean that it has downloaded a new database zipped file? Also, Should I be using POIEdit instead and what does POISync do for me? _________________ Garmin NUVI 660 with 2010 maps, Navman 550, Garmin Etrex Vista, Garmin 775

Camera Manager - as Darren says, use "Sticky: Ash10's Camera Manager Software" thread for more detailed CM questions; but, in response to your immediate queries here, and to save you a little time:
Camera Manager - Help file is found by right clicking CM icon in tray (which will answer your other questions!);
POI Edit - used for downloading general (usually free) POIs, such as supermarkets, and other sites' safety camera databases (all 'pay-for', like PGPSW's); also for converting POI data from one format (eg TomTom) to another (eg Garmin);
POISync - I assume this is the (obsolete) PGPSW facility introduced in 2004? The page has an update saying
Quote:
UPDATE: As of January 2006 this service is no longer supported. No further POI Updates will be available from this date. To continue to access updated POIs you should visit our POI Download Page here. Safety Camera Updates are available to subscribers via this page.
Sowhatever it did, it doesn't now _________________ David

Thank you both for the info, especially how to get the help file. I'll check out the camera manager forum. _________________ Garmin NUVI 660 with 2010 maps, Navman 550, Garmin Etrex Vista, Garmin 775

Thanks, its been so long since we offered POISync that I'd clean forgot about it!
It was a service that worked in cooperation with POIEdit to maintain an up to date set of POIs on a PocketPC. Long since superseded and as we no longer support POIEdit for sync it has been discontinued. _________________ Darren Griffin
