The straightening of the Haughley bends is on the 830 Map.
Just watch for the new exit from Stowmarket to go Westbound! _________________ Richard

Ah thanks! So they have the road that isn't there on the TomTom map too, I guess since it is the same source data as Google. |

Having been through there when I was in the area just before it was finished ( I wanted to check out the map as the new layout appeared on the map released on almost the same day as the scheme opened. ) I thought the map was pretty much correct. Which road is on the TomTom map that doesn't really exist? |

The road listed on Google maps as "Bury Road" from Stowmarket is now a bridleway, as shown by the brown dots here http://www.highways.gov.uk/roads/projects/10064.htm
To go westbound from Stowmarket you have to cross under the A14, drive up Tot Hill to the first roundabout on the A14 interchange. Then cross back over the A14 to the next roundabout and take the slip road onto the A14. |

Having kept a close eye on the project as I've used the original Haughley junction quite a bit on visits down there, I couldn't work out why I'd got it wrong.
Looking back though the project pages helped me find out.
I'd seen there was a new link road from Chilton Way to Shepherds Lane which was roughly on the line of the old entry slip, so when Tele Atlas map data showed it continuing to Tot Hill junction I assumed it was there as an additional link to the new A14.
They seen to have been a bit keen as Tele Atlas have also left in the link from Shepherds Lane to the original A14!
Edit :- It's worse than I thought. Careful examination of my v825 map shows that Shepherds Lane is shown as going under the link road and the A14 rather than connecting to the link road!
Anyone with new maps able to check if that's now fixed?
( I can dream can't I? ) |

No it's still shown, incorrectly.
It's been reported but it might be a few years while we wait for the correction. _________________ Richard
