Nuvi 765t "Cannot unlock maps" message

Hi people,

I'm hoping someone could help please. Purchased 765t saturday, registered it and downloaded the 2010 maps. First of all couldn't update on normal pc as it wasn't picking up internet connect!!! Used laptop and updated maps.

Turn on the unit and it beeps twice with a message saying "cannot unlock maps" The map version on the unit is 2010. I have checked the unlock code in the gmapprom.unl file and this matches the unlock code in "My Garmin" i have even tried overwriting it with a recent text file with the unlock code in, but no luck.

Any ideas people, i have email garmin support but would like to be able to use the bl**dy thing. Wish i hadn't updated now!!!!

why not just import the map from mapsource to you garmin unit again
