|
|
Hi there,
Apologies if this has already been covered on a previous post (and please feel free to point me to it if I could find the answer elsewhere already), but...
When I browse the map (with or without the traffic showing) on my TT Go 530 the map takes a few seconds (4-5) to refresh, which seems very slow and can be annoying when I want to quickly look at the traffic map. Is there any way to speed this up? Perhaps it is because the Go 530 only comes with 1GB memory and I only have about 600MB left. I have just installed a 2GB SD card for putting some MP3s on there, but I wondered if I should put my UK map on there - would that help with update speeds, or should the maps always be stored in the TT disk inside the device?
Thanks,
J-P |

What Navcore and map versions are you running?
Also, check what you have enabled to display on the map view - the more things selected, the longer it takes to draw the screen.
Putting the maps on the SD card shouldn't make any difference.

Hi Andy,
Thanks for your reply.
I'm running NavCore v8.302 with UK & ROI map v810.1870.
On the map options, are you referring to the number of POI categories showing?
Thanks,

From the map browser choose 'Options' and you should have POI, Favourites, Images, Names and Coordinates. By default Favourites, Images and Names are selected IIRC.
Try unchecking them all and see if it seems any faster.
Another option might be to do a 'Clear Flash' - this tends to speed things up.
