Since buying ny 660 some 18 months ago I got into the habit of downloading the then monthly updates onto an SDcard rather than the machine itself. However for the past couple months whilst the files have downloaded OK onto the card (they can be seen unzipped via My Computer) the Garmin does read the information whilst travelling.

I've tried a machine reset; deleting the data from the card and reloading, all to no avail.
Has anyone else experienced this? or have any ideas on what the problem might be?

You say you can see them un-zipped. But you should have just ONE file on the card.

Are you doing this right. You should un-zip the safety cams to a folder on your pc. Start PoiLoader and select where you want the file stored.

Garmin Device
MapSource
Custom Folder (you use this option for card)

You then browse to the folder where you un-zipped the safety cams using PoiLoader, select it and hit the Next button. After a short time the files will load and Finish will show Laughing

Did you have a TomTom before Question

Thanks for the advice as I have never previously used POI loader, just donwloaded the zip file to my PC and extracted the file to the SD card. As I say, this method worked until recently. I will try the method you suggest and see what happens at my local camera. Evil or Very Mad

no haven't used a tomtom for 3 years, preferring Garmin since then.
