Hi...... and I am very new to TOMTOM
Had a 720 for Xmas and a 2gb SD card(should have been 4gb)
Backed up the device onto my PC then copied files across to SD card , keeping internal memory "as is" ,then put card into TT to make sure it worked ......it did.
Connected TT to TTHome and then updated SD card to latest system .
Went into Tools and downloaded Latest Map, ( the 1.6 gb one ) after download had error message saying that I was 46 meg short on the card so opened card and removed 51 meg of surplus bits .
Went back to LMG where I was informed that new maps were available but when I click download it now diverts to the "pay for new maps page"
Any ideas please.....
and where are the maps that downloaded and if found how do I install them |

You should find the downloads in this foldr: C:\Documents and Settings\(yourname)\My Documents\TomTom\HOME\Downloads if you haven't changed the default folder settings established in Home.
In Home, Add Maps/Voices, and move to Items on My Computer. You should see the map listed (click on 'more info' to make sure it is the correct one). Select it to install. _________________ David |

I had similar.
Within TomTom Home go to add maps. When you get the map popup just click on the 'I'm interested in other maps'.The map you downloaded should show as being on 'my computer' in the list that is then displayed. Ignore the fact there is a cost showing next to it and click on the (probably add?) button to install it.
