I have just found the site and would like to say Hi, looks like one of the better forums. 
I am just about to enter the world of gps and would anyone like to comment on my choice of kit - i have a Tosh e740 to which i propose adding the TomTom nav3 + leadtech 9532.
The kit would be used mostly in my mx5 but i would like to use it on my m/bike if poss.
Wish i had found you earlier i missed the sunday meet, when is the next one. 
Any comments welcome, good or bad  |

A good solution, the 9532 is a superb GPS Mouse type receiver BUT if you intend usin it on a bkie you'll need to consider a weatherproof case and the provision of a 12v supply to power the receiver (the PDA will run on batteries but the 9532 requires 12v.
Also, the only problem you will have in a convertible is the low volume of the PDA speaker, you may need to install some amplification.

Suggestion.....
How about a meet a tad further North? Believe it or not there is life North of Watford and some of us even have technology too!!!
There arte many and varied places to visit whilst on a trip up here - in Derbyshire ther is the peak district; in Nottinghamshire there is Sherwood Forest; in Yorkshire there are the Dales and marvellous places such as the Leeds Armouries (went there yesterday to see the jousting tournament - fantastic) and other places like Harrogate and of course York itself; In Lancashire there is.....er Manchester!! - (sorry couldn't resist that dig!)
Anyway I could go on listing places but you know what I mean - would you consider somewhere more central to the country as a whole?

We have nothing against the North, last year's Summit was in the Lake District so this year it's the turn of the South

Ahhhh - Didn't know that! (am still a newbie to these forums (and to Sat Nav in general).
Oh well it was woth a try - By the south I guess you mean somewhere south of Sheffield? Hmmm, being of Yorkshire extraction it is compulsary to watch the pennies up here and my wife (who is American btw) has picked up the native habits may not sanction the petrol money :-)
Still, let us know and I will certainly try to be there, would be nice to "eyeball" some of you other guys and see other systems in action

Have you considered making a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!
