For the past month they rapidly install them all over Greece. These cameras are very similar to the REDLIGHT, but the housing is a bit different. Here I have a couple of pictures to see http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/5789/p1100579largeya6.jpg

The gray box which can be seen at the first picture looks that is actually a OTE box (OTE = the equivalent of BT for UK) which suggest that these cameras do not use a film which has to be reloaded, but some people suggest they may be equipped with a hard drive and then they sent the data using an internet-like network, thus the telephone box!
Also some people noticed while installing them that they were also installing some cables that they've been told that these are fibre optic cables!
Have you heard anything like that for UK or does anyone has any more information on this new type of gatsos?
IMG tags replaced with URL Tags as pictures are much bigger than the 400 pixel width limit. Please feel free to re-size and repost these pictures with a maximum width of 400 pixels. PaulB2005 |

We have Digital cameras here also, some with hard disk recorders and others that send the data digitally.
No need to re-load film, constantly working, nasty. _________________ Darren Griffin |

The size limit is now 450 width, Paul... (it used to be 400 though).
Quote: | If you link to any images in a post they should be no more than 450 pixels in width and no more than 800 pixels in height. Images that exceed this size limit will be removed. | (http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=22606)
If it were possible, squeezing it up to 480 would be nice as that seems to be the default screen dump size from a TomTom - using the screen dump facility or cropping a screen from the Home Emulator both produce a 480x272 image file |

The absolute maximum width of the forum post within the limits we have is 469 hence the 450 limit to allow for framing etc. Anything smaller than 469 will be overlooked as it will not affect the page format.
Images larger than that would stretch the width of the forum outside of the size we wish to retain.
I appreciate the issue with screen-dumps but I routinely re-size to 400 pixels with no loss of information, there is no need to have them at their original size. _________________ Darren Griffin |
