Hi All,

Just two little questions, apologies if could be better placed in another forum.

1. How easy is it to work out the distances in miles between co-ordinates?
( in the -3.46100 , 51.20600 format )

So, if i wanted to know the distance in miles between say -3.46100 , 51.20600 to -3.40000 , 53.34100 for example whats the formula ?

2. When entering in co-ordinates into Google Earth, it appears you have to enter them in the other way around then the examples above.
Is there a setting i can tick somewhere which will allow them to go in as LON - LAT vice LAT - LON ??

Cheers

MPW

Wow. I bet you use all the formulae as well. I'm not too keen on the fact that some of the formulae assume a spherical earth with a mean radius, as this must make a differenc of all of a cople of inches. Shocked

He He. But a good site, what Very Happy
